Ingredients:
- 2 packages of Jus Roll puff pastry or your favorite store bought puff pastry. (Of course you can make your own puff pastry)
- 1/2 can of strawberry pie filling blended. Or use strawberry jelly (I had pie filling on hand)
- 2 tbsp melted butter (you can use an egg wash)
- Turbinado sugar
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees farenheit
- unroll your puff pastry sheets
- Use a large lid or bowl, place on your puff pastry sheet and cut two circles. (A top and bottom)
- If using strawberry pie filling, use an emersion blender and blend up half the can. (or use jelly)
- Spread the strawberry evenly onto the bottom puff pastry
- Cover with the 2nd round puff pastry and pinch along the outside to seal.
- Using a small jar/cup place in the middle of the puff pastry as a guide for cutting.
- Make cuts, cutting in 4th, 8ths, 16th so you have 16 wedges
- Take 2 wedges next to each other and twist counter clockwise two times and pinch the ends until you go all the way around the circle. This make it look like a snowflake.
- Melt 2 tbsp butter and brush the top of the snowflake.
- Sprinkle with Turbinado sugar.
- Bake at 400 degrees fahrenheit for 20 minutes.
- Take out of the oven and let rest a few minutes before digging in!
Enjoy
