  • 5 cups flour
  • 1 lb lard (soft)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp vinegar

  1. Mix salt, baking powder, and flour together
  2. Cut in lard until lumpy
  3. In a measuring cup - Beat egg and vinegar. 
  4. Fill up rest of measuring cup with milk to equal one cup. Add to lard mixture a bit at a time until dough forms into a ball.  
  5. knead a few seconds. Wrap dough or put in air tight plastic bowl.  Refrigerate and take out after one hour.  before rolling.  
Bake at 425F until golden brown.
