- 1 tbsp butter, margarine or cooking oil
- 3/4 cup minced onion
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 cup of boiling water
- 1 OXO beef cube
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2/3 cup vinegar
- 2 tsp dry mustard
- 1/2 tsp salt, and black pepper
- dash of cayenne
- Saute onion in butter
- Dissolve OXO beef cube in boiling water. Stir into onion
- Add ketchup and remaining ingredients
- Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
