Slow Cooked Eye of Round Steak. Eye of round steak can be pretty tough if you don't cook it properly. But if you slow cook it, it's as tender as can be! We had a package of eye of round steak and decided to make it in the slow cooker since we both had a long work day. Slow cooking is a great way to prepare it in the morning and enjoy it when you get home.
Ingredients:
1.5 Lbs Eye of Round Steaks
2 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled or chopped
1 - 10oz can of Ro*Tel Diced Tomatoes & Green Chiles (Adds just a little spiciness with the green chilies)
1 Cup beef broth
1 medium onion sliced
1 1/2 cups of baby carrots (I used a couple hand fulls)
1 tablespoon granulated garlic
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons pepper (I like pepper)
Directions:
Cut your eye of round steaks into bite size chunks
Add all ingredients to your slow cooker and cook on low for 8 hours
We served ours on a bed of basmati rice... Yum!
Hope you enjoy!
