This Smokey, Spicy, Meat Loaf With Green Chile's and a Raspberry Chipotle Glaze is our favorite meatloaf! Smoked on my Pit Boss Pro Series 1100 Pellet Grill. Meatloaf doesn't have to be boring! Spice it up and smoke it, then add the Raspberry Chipotle Glaze and you will have friends and family requesting it!

Ingredients:

  • 1lb Hamburger
  • 1lb Johnsonville Hot Italian Sausage
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Tube of Crushed Ritz Crackers
  • 1 Medium Onion Chopped
  • 6 Roasted Peeled and Diced Hatch Green Chiles (Or 1 large can/ 1 cup)
  • 1 1/2 Cup Shredded Cheese (Cheddar or your favorite)
  • 1/4 Cup Favorite BBQ Sauce (I like Sweet Baby Rays)
  • 1/4 Cup Ketchup
  • 1 tsp Garlic Salt
  • 1 TBSP Garlic Pepper

1 Bottle of Raspberry Chipotle Sauce (about a half of a bottle) for the Glaze (do not mix in meat mixture)

Directions:
  1. Combine above ingredients minus the Raspberry Chipotle Sauce.
  2. Form into a loaf and refrigerate about 30 minutes.
  3. Place in Smoker at 250 degrees for about an hour and a half, checking the internal temperature at the 1 hour mark, then until the internal temperature reaches around 155 - 160 degrees.
  4. Remove from smoker and pour the Raspberry Chipotle Sauce over the top and brush entire loaf.
  5. Return to smoker for another 20 - 30 minutes.
  6. Let cool for 15 to 20 minutes and serve.

Enjoy!

Note: If you don't have a smoker, this recipe can be made in the oven! Place in oven at 375 degrees for 1 hour. Glaze with Raspberry Sauce and place back in over for 30 minutes.
