Grilled Avocados are a real treat! By grilling your avocados, it really brings out a nutty flavor from the avocado.  Your avocados should be ripe (soft to the touch) and don't worry, grilling them won't make them all mushy.  We use Fuerte Avocados from my mom's tree in California and they are THE BEST avocados!  Usually you can only find Haas avocados in the stores, but if you ever find Fuerte Avocados, get them!  And if you haven't tried grilling an avocado, you gotta try it!

Ingredients:

2 Ripe avocados or the amount you need to serve

Olive oil
Salt and Pepper

Directions:
  1. Cut avocado in half and remove seed.
  2. Brush lightly with olive oil.
  3. Gently place cut side down on hot BBQ grill for 2-3 minutes (depending on how hot your grill is until you have nice grill marks).
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

You can spoon the avocado flesh right out of the skin and enjoy or slice and add to a salad.  By grilling your avocado, it really brings out more flavor.

Hope you enjoy!
