Some work involved but so very, very worth it.

  1. 6 cups flour
  2. 1 lg pkg fresh yeast
  3. 1 tsp margarine  (300 ml oil)
  4. 1/2 cup sugar
  5. 2 cups warm milk
  6. 3 eggs

Filling:

  1. 1/2 cup icing sugar + granulated sugar to make 3 cups
  2.       1 cup cocoa

  • Pre heat oven to 375F
  • Scald milk and set aside to cool.  Melt margarine and set aside to cool.
  • While waiting sift dry ingredients in a large bowl. Make a crater in the center of dry ingredients. Dissolve yeast in warm milk. Pour into center along with margarine
  • Break 3 eggs. Mix thoroughly. Cover with a white towel or cloth. Set in a warm place and let rise about 2 hours, until double in bulk.
  • Remove dough to floured board. Knead dough. Divide into 6 parts. Let set and raise about 15 minutes
  • Meanwhile, break an egg into a cup. Beat well. Roll each piece of dough out, rub on oil. Spread filling: 1 cup cocoa, 1/2 cup icing sugar, add white sugar to about 3 cups. Bring ends in and roll up. Place in oiled glass dish and brush with beaten egg. Bake for about 30 minutes or until rolls are brown.
