The Man Kitchen really started years ago when I was divorced and raising my 2 teenage sons. We also had a roommate and his son all under the same roof. As you could imagine 5 men under one roof having to cook! No worries! We got this! And as it turned out we created some great dinners :-) We especially enjoyed our deep fat fry night LOL!

While growing up my dad used to cook and make salsa's and it ended up rubbing off on me. He used to make hundreds of taco's for me and my friends to enjoy. It became a "taco munch" tradition. And being in our teens we of course had to have contests to see who could eat the most taco's. Those were definitely the days!

As an adult, I too like to have taco munches, but I don't think I've ever made as many at one time as my dad did. When us kids get together, I will make tacos and salsa for all of us in honor of our dad.

That's where I believe my cooking experiences started. I am far from a culinary chef, but I can cook! And I like to find new recipes and share my recipes with friends and family. That's basically how this website started. I wanted a place where friends and family could come and share their recipes with one another, not to mention that everyone that joins us and adds their recipes, instantly become friends!
